Tahota Lawyers Praised by World Bank for “B-READY 2025” Business Environment Assessment
Recently, Zhang Tianyi, Director of Tahota (Vientiane) Office, and Wu Yaying, Managing Partner of the same office, received Certificate of Appreciation from the World Bank Group (WBG) in recognition of their contributions to the “B-READY 2025” project. The WBG highly valued the legal insights provided by these two professionals and expressed sincere appreciation for their dedicated time, efforts, and professional expertise shared during the project.
As the World Bank Group’s business environment assessment framework of the new generation, the “B-READY” project evaluates the institutional support of global economies for business development across ten key dimensions, including efficiency of business regulations and quality of public services. As a few legal experts assigned to provide legal consultancy in Laos, these two professionals leveraged their in-depth knowledge of the commercial legal system to help improve Laos’ business environment assessment criteria, offering particularly valuable insights on foreign investment access policies. This collaboration also highlights Tahota’s professional influence in the legal services market in Southeast Asia.
Consistently putting into practice the principle of “Empowering Business Through the Rule of Law,” Tahota has repeatedly participated in WBG’s initiatives for regional research reports in Chines mainland in recent years. Tahota is currently contributing expertise to optimize the business environment in more overseas countries and regions, facilitating the compliant development of Chinese enterprises and international clients in global markets.
YEHAR XIAVUE, a Laotian lawyer at Tahota (Vientiane) Office, also made significant contributions to this research initiative.
